Listed for your consideration is this Girls 24 Hopalong Cassidy Bicycle… The special part of this bike is that the seat is autographed by Hoppy’s beautiful wife Grace Boyd “Mrs Hoppy”… The bike has been in her possession since then… The bike is in very good condition with the silver rivets on the front and back fenders as well as the chain guard… The rack on the back fender has been bent sometime in it’s past and has some very light rust where the paint fell off… I believe that the pedals are original to the bike… There are plastic streamers hanging from the handlebar grips… The seat is not original to the bike and was a new replacement when it was autographed… The original “Rollfast” header that goes on the handlebar neck is missing, but a new replacement one is included, as well as the Hopalong Cassidy decal for replacement on the seat post and some extra steer head decals… All of these extras will go along with the bike.. Grace (Bradley) Boyd was an American film actress, singer and dancer who was active in Hollywood during the 1930’s through 1943… She married William Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy) in 1937 and they were married until his death on September 12, 1972… After becoming inactive from Hollywood she spent the remainder of the 1940’s alongside her husband and traveled around the country with him helping to promote his cowboy image… Following Hoppy’s death, Grace retired from the entertainment world and since she shared such a strong union with her husband she still continued to do things to help keep Hoppy’s memory alive.. She never remarried and enjoyed attending the Hopalong Cassidy Festivals in Hoppy’s birthplace of Cambridge, Ohio every year that her health allowed… She died on her birthday September 21, 2010 at the age of 97… All of the photos are of the actual item(s) listed and I examine and describe each item carefully before listing and the descriptions are made to the best of my ability, research and knowledge… I try to post many pictures of each item, so please look at the pictures carefully for the condition of the item(s)..
