You are looking at a 2004-05 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Signature Patches Michael Jordan #MJ autographed patch card, individually numbered 17/25. This card has been graded by BGS as a Mint 9 with card subgrades of 8.5, 9.5, 9.5, and 9 and an auto grade of 10 Gem Mint. This one is just a hair from a 9.5. Even though he is widely acknowledged as the GOAT, my mind always wanders back to what could have been had he just played out his career – no golf or gambling sojourns, just the singular Kobe-esque drive to be the best. Jordan would likely have passed Kareem as the all time scoring leader, and may have grabbed a couple more championships, essentially putting all arguments to rest. At this point, if we get rid of the recency bias and the effects of the media era, I still think Jordan would be the most oft named mentioned during the arguments about the greatest of all time. I certainly don’t have to tout how incredible the high end Upper Deck products are from these years, if you’re looking at this, you already know. I opened a LOT of high end product back in the 2003-06 period, and I have slowly been having some of the better cards I pulled during those years graded by BGS.
