This vintage album page is from an amazing collection that we obtained. This item comes from a collection of over 15 album page books. All autographs were acquired in-person in 1947, 1948 and 1949 in and around the Los Angeles area. On many of these the collector marked the location and date where the autograph was obtained. Some of the locations include. The Academy Award Theater, La Rue’s Restaurant, Ciro’s Night Club, CBS Playhouse, Biltmore Theater, Las Palmas Club, Brown Derby Restaurant, NBC Studios, LA Tennis Club, Hollywood Stadium, Ambassador Hotel and many more iconic locations around Los Angeles. If the location and date was written on the page we did our best to include that information on the title line (above). This collection has hundreds of autographs. We have been going through doing our best to identify each of them. The better names have been sent to Beckett Authentication and have been encapsulated or stickered. If that is the case it will clearly be seen in the pictures attached. In addition, we will put BAS (Beckett Authentication Service) at the end of the title line to narrow searching. With a collection this large we simply cannot afford to send everything in for authentication but any of autographs from this collection will pass any reputable 3. Party authentication process (BAS, PSA or JSA). As we continue to identify the autographs we will list them. During this process sometimes, we might misspell and / or misidentify an autograph. While it is never our intention for that to happen should you notice an error please do not hesitate to let us know. If you have any questions or might be looking for a certain autograph from this time period that may not be easily identified please send us a message; we might be able to help. Please check our store weekly for new listings from this collection. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Autographs\Celebrities”. This piece contains the autographs of Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin. The Armstrong autograph has the rarer Apollo 11 designation. Just as impressive is the Norman Rockwell Signed Space Pioneers limited edition print. The overall size is 27 inches by 19 1/2 inches. The Norman Rockwell print is approximately 9 3/4 x 13. All autographs have certificates of authenticity with the exception of the Michael Collins which has a Steve Zarelli online opinion. This is one of my favorite pieces. 2019 is the 50th anniversary of this historic event. Michael Collins – Zarelli online opinion. Buzz Aldrin – JSA. Norman Rockwell – Frank Garo. The item “Neil Armstrong Signed Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins Signed Norman Rockwell” is in sale since Tuesday, July 16, 2019. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Autographs\Space”. PROVENANCE – Original signed picture by Neil Armstrong measures 8″ x 10″. During the fall of 1969 I attended a Hotel Association convention in Houston, Texas. The guest speaker was Neil Armstrong. Upon the conclusion of the meeting, I believe it was Bud Grice of the Marriott corporation, asked who in attendance would like Mr. You were asked to come forward and leave your business card with Mr. Armstrong and he would autograph a picture. I believe I shook Mr. Armstrong’s hand when he was still at the head table. I framed the picture years later after I found it when we were moving. The picture has scattered surface creases, rim shaded areas & pin holes on the white rim edges. The picture is being offered ” as is ” & described. The first photo is the front of the card with Sincerely, Neil on a piece of paper is the real Signature while the Back side with the photo of Neil right next to the jet is a facsimile autograph. As you can see the right and the bottom of the case has a hairline crack which doesnt affect the quality or the integrity of the signature at all. Please take time to examine all the photos provided. For sale is a limited edition watercolor collage by artist/Naval aviator (and former Blue Angels pilot) R. Rasmussen entitled Naval Aviation in Space. This color lithograph print (#819/1000) is signed in pencil by nine pioneering astronauts, all former Naval aviators, representing all of NASA’s space programs (Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, and Space Shuttle System). Many of these signatures are rare and collectible (Neil Armstrong & three other moonwalkers, of which there are only twelve total). Neil Armstrong (Gemini 8; and Commander of Apollo 11, during which mission he became the first person to walk on the moon). Charles “Pete” Conrad Gemini 5; Commander of Gemini 11; Commander of Apollo 12, during which he became the third person to walk on the moon; and Commander of Skylab 2, the first crewed Skylab mission, during which he and his crewmates repaired significant damage to the Skylab space station. For this, President Jimmy Carter awarded him the Congressional Space Medal of Honor in 1978. Alan Shepard (Mercury astronaut, becoming the first American in space in 1961; and Commander of Apollo 14, during which he became the fifth person to walk on the moon). Gene Cernan (Gemini 9; Apollo 10; and Commander of Apollo 17, during which he became the last person to walk on the moon). Jack Lousma (Skylab 3; and Commander of STS-3, the third Space Shuttle mission). John Glenn (Mercury astronaut, becoming the first American to orbit the Earth). James Lovell (Gemini 7; Gemini 12; Command Module Pilot on Apollo 8, the first flight to/around the moon; and Commander of Apollo 13). Wally Schirra (the only astronaut to fly in the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs). Rick Hauck (STS-7; Commander of STS-51-A; and Commander of STS-26, the first Space Shuttle flight after the Challenger tragedy). The nine astronauts were part of a symposium held at the Naval Aviation Museum in 1989. Rasmussen, curator and museum artist, published this print as a fundraiser for the museum, and the astronauts signed each one after a ceremonial dinner, all of them sitting at a table, passing each print to the next signer. The print itself measures 22″ x 29″ and is professionally matted and framed (the total size with frame is 25-1/2″ x 32″). The print, acid-free matte, lightweight metal frame, and UV protected glass are in flawless condition. This print comes with the original National Museum of Naval Aviation COA.
