The Balboa Sylvester Stallone Signed Bronze Face Mask for Rocky, 1975. This is likely the first artifact (except for the script) from the Rocky Balboa series! Molded from the actor’s face prior to filming of the first “Rocky, ” affixed to a green marble base which is inscribed in silver paint pen Life Mask / Made for / Rocky I / 1975 / S. 15″ x 5″ x 4 1/2. This was owned by Sylvester Sly Stallone and on display in his home for decades! When I was new to the business and about to embark on playing Rocky Balboa, I was introduced to the legendary Hollywood makeup man, Michael Westmore. He told me I needed to have a mask made of my face so he could create bumps and bruises and scar tissue around the eyes, etcetera, so I followed the instructions and this is a mold they made for me in 1975, several days before the beginning of Rocky.
