RARE STANLEY KUBRICK SIGNED & TYPED LETTER 1977 film memorabilia autograph

This is an original letter (not a reprint) which has been typed and signed by legendary film directer Stanley Kubrick. The letter dates from 3rd August 1977 when Kubrick would have been in preproduction for’The Shining’. It is typed using an unusual typeface which can be seen in other Kubrick letters from this time held by the Kubrick Archive. I have seen at least one crude forgery which is based on this letter but which uses the standard Courier style typeface. From my own research, I believe the letter was written to Adrian Turner, a film critic and writer who has written several articles about Kubrick over the years. Adrian Turner was also an officer of the BFI (British Film Institute) which is referenced in the letter. The letter is A4 in size (approx 30cm x 21cm) and is signed’Stanley’ in blue biro. A German-born theoretical physicist. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics. Best known for his mass-energy equivalence formula E = mc2 – the world’s most famous equation. Received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics. Wonderful content typed letter signed A. 8.5 x 5.0 inch, 1951 March 17. Einstein sent this letter to Dr. Lionel Ettlinger, a man with whom he had been corresponding for almost 20 years. This fine letter shows Einstein as a caring friend, a side of the famous physicist that was rarely seen by the public. Written 3 days after his 72 birthday where the famous tongue-photo was taken. On NASA Marshall Space Flight Center letterhead, measures 8″ X 10 1/2″, one page and is dated July 17, 1967. Condition: Normal mailing folds. It was good hearing from you again and I certainly appreciate your and Mrs. Maybe after we have put our man on the moon, I’ll have more time for some pleasure trips.
