This incredible February 28, 1787 Document is over 200yrs old and beautifully signed by Benjamin Franklin, in his own hand. In it he grants an American Revolutionary soldier John Hoover 200 Acres, for his service. Franklin served as the sixth and longest-running president of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a position he held from October 18, 1775, to November 5, 1788. Franklin would join the Grand Committee of the Constitutional Convention less than three months after this land grant was signed. This partly-printed document, signed on the left border B. Franklin as President of the Supreme Executive Council and countersigned on the bottom border by James Trimble as Deputy Secretary for John Armstrong, Jr.. The document is one page and contains a large eight-point embossed paper seal and docketing and an additional seal on verso. It measures 15 X 12 and was created in Philadelphia on February 28, 1787. Its in very good condition with minor staining to the folds. Just an amazing piece of history. That in consideration of the services rendered by John Hoover Private in the late army of the United States there is granted by the said commonwealth unto the said John Hoover a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Westmorelandcontaining two hundred acres. Benjamin Franklin, born in January 1706, the 10th boy of seventeen children, he was the consummate entrepreneur, but he was also scientist, inventor, politician, author, and yes, a founding father of the United States of America. We started out to get a computer in the hands of everyday people, and we succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. Steve Jobs had a vision for the personal computer that sparked the PC revolution and ultimately made Apple an icon of American business. His story has inspired generations of Tech entrepreneurs everywhere. This wonderful TIME Magazine cover titled Americas Risk Takers, from February 15, 1982, is Steve Jobs very first magazine cover, slating him as Apple Computers maverick leader.
